We are a week away from districts for the girls. It will be an exciting event to witness. West Point and
Pierce look like they have their best teams ready to roll. South Sioux City, Schuyler, and now Wahoo are
still putting all their pieces together. Grand Island and Norfolk have both had great inaugural seasons.
Yutan’s freshmen twins have been amazing thus far. Look out if Papillion-LaVista gets all their team
together and starts rolling. So many storylines, so many possibilities, this sport is just awesome. Good
luck to all the teams next weekend!

As expected Peacher cements herself at the top with a win over Prado in the finals at Weeping Water.
Prado beat Thiele in the finals at Louisville. Ruby is 2-1 with Thiele. Rivas lost a match to Lemburg up at
107. Tun has not lost a match yet at 100. Stutzman lost a close match to Rivas. The contenders have all
beaten each other.

Pehrson makes the drop down to 107 and has yet to lose a match this season. She beat Wilson in a dual
at Weeping Water and beat Plowman in the finals at the WW Invite. Walsh won the Lexington Invite.
Williamson won the Chadron Invite. Lemburg won the Neligh-Oakdale Invite. Bivainis makes the drop
down to 107 and finished 3 rd at the WW invite.

Pozehl becomes the clear favorite at this weight with the drop of Pehrson to 107 winning the Battle
Creek Invite with wins over Figueroa and Reeves. Figueroa beat Linnaus in the finals at the WW invite.
Barber won the Plattsmouth invite. Plowman tested the waters at 107 with the plus two pounds at the
WW invite and finished runner-up. Reeves won the Louisville invite.

Pehrson lost a match to Petersen at the Battle Creek Invite. But, she rebounded nicely winning the
Weeping Water Invite and is still the favorite at this weight. Cervantes did not wrestle this weekend.
Petersen won the Neligh-Oakdale invite. Mccrery has been back and forth between 114 and 120 but
looks to have settled at 120 taking runner-up to Pehrson at Weeping Water. The contenders are all
beating each other and are poised to make some noise.

Rosseter won the Louisville and Weeping Water invites. Lee won the Plattsmouth invite up at 132.
Arroyo won the Battle Creek Invite with wins over Skrdla, Kuester, and Brown. Skrdla beat Kuester in
the semis at Weeping Water to finish 2 nd while Kuester finished 3 rd .

Big changes at 145. Miserez has dropped down and looked fantanstic winning the WW invite. Barnes
dropped down to 145 and was beat by Boeslager. Roberts dropped a match to Miserez but won the
Lexington Invite. This has become a deep and difficult weightclass. All the contenders have been
ranked at one time or another. Should be fun!

Quinones remains unbeaten on the year. Parker’s only loss was early to Quinones but has been lights
out the rest of the year. Pate had big wins over Mader and Lindo-Marente and pushes her way into the
rankings. Prochaska has split with Green on the year but had a big win over Jones at Louisville. Green
has been on fire winning Louisville at 152 and goes up and wins at 165 at Millar West quad. Lindo-
Marente won the Lexington Invite.

The only change at 185 is Hinneh at #6 as Jakubowski drops down to 185 and knocks off Brodersen. This
is becoming a deep weightclass as well.

Moackler of Fremont had a huge weekend knocking off DeCora and Paasch to win the Weeping Water
invite. That’s good momentum heading into districts next week. Too bad Ybarzabal and Earth were not
able to wrestle at WW. That would have been something.
