NSWCA Class B Tournament Rankings
1. Hastings
2. Broken Bow
3. Bennington
4. Blair
5. Beatrice
6. Aurora
7. Skutt Catholic
8. Gering
9. Waverly
10. Ogallala
Hastings has looked the best so far in this early season and take over the #1 spot. The next four Broken
Bow, Bennington, Blair, and Beatrice are almost dead even. Aurora comes in next with its strength in the
upper weights. Skutt comes in at 7 because of a couple veterans and some good freshman that will
make an impact. The defending champs, Gering, lost a lot to graduation but still have some fire power to
come in at 8 with a chance to move up in the rankings. A team that may really move up in the rankings is
Waverly, they are looking really good and if they continue it will be hard not to rate them higher.
Ogallala finishes out the top 10 with a couple potential finalists.

NSWCA Class B Individual Rankings

1. Cameron Brumbaugh, Hastings
2. Hudson Loges, Blair
3. Christopher Gamio, Scottsbluff
4. Aston Dane, Gering
5. Cadyn Coyle, Bennington
6. Chauncey Watson, Broken Bow
Brumbaugh takes the top spot based of his win over Dane early in the season. Loges looked great at the
Council Bluffs tournament to jump into second place. Gamio is a mystery because he beat Dane but lost
to a couple other wrestlers (not in class 😎. Coyle and Watson are a tossup. Watson beat Coyle last year
at state with a late headlock. If he doesn’t get the headlock Coyle wins. Coyle being a Greco guy I think
he will be ready for that next time.
113
1. Chance Houser, Sidney
2. Jordan Shirley, Gering
3. Hunter Anderson, Hastings
4. Gavin Vanover, Beatrice
5. Garrett Schultz, Wayne
6. Luke Frost, Blair
Houser is the highest returning state medalist, so he earns the #1 spot. Shirley comes in as the next
highest. Anderson, Vanover, Schultz, and Frost all seem to be pretty equal and should work its way out
this season.
120
1. Kael Lauridsen, Bennington
2. Pedro Carrizalas, Ogallala
3. Daven Naylor, Lexington
4. Jesse Loges, Blair
5. Cash Duncan, Seward
6. Brayden Canoyer, Waverly
Two-time state champ Lauridsen is the clear favorite here. After that you have state medalists
Carrizales, Naylor, Loges, and Duncan all close in ability. Incoming freshman Canoyer rounds out the top
6 and is a person to watch for.
126
1. Braiden Kort, Adams Central
2. Andon Stenger, Columbus Lakeview
3. Austin Munier, Sidney
4. Connor Ritonya, Bennington
5. Ely Olberding, Fort Calhoun
6. Connor Whiteley, Scottsbluff
Two time returning state runner up Kort transfers to Hastings comes in at #1 as the highest state
finisher. The top 4 were all in the same weight class last year so they return to the rankings the way they
finished. Olberding was also a state medalist in class C but Ritonya already beat him this year so it puts
Olberding at #5. Whiteley is a tough wrestler that was dealing with an injury last year and did not place.
He may easily move up in the rankings as the season progresses.
132
1. Zach Ourada, Skutt
2. Cyrus Wells, Broken Bow
3. Blaine Christo, Ashland Greenwood
4. Gavin Dotzler, Boone Central
5. Lance Olberding, Fort Calhoun
6. Kyler Lauridsen, Bennington
Returning champ Ourada starts back on top as #1. The next set of guys Wells, Christo, Dotzler, and
Olberding are all returning state medalists and all about equal. Lauridsen rounds out the last of the top
six.
138
1. Trevor Reinke, Beatrice
2. Malachi Bordovsky, Wahoo
3. Drew Cooper, Skutt
4. Brock Bolling, Pierce
5. Brock Templar, Blair
6. Drew Moser, Waverly
Two time returning state champion Reinke is the favorite here. However, watch out for the athletic
Bordovsky, he could give Reinke fits. Returning medalist Cooper is next followed by Bolling that missed
on placing last year but does have two state medals. Super freshman Templar will make some noise here
also. Moser is also a tough sophomore that is looking for his first state medal.
145
1. Adam Kruse, Skutt
2. AJ Parrish, Bennington
3. Landon Templar, Blair
4. Bryar Nadrchal, Platteview
5. Connor Wells, Broken Bow
6. Dreu White, Cozad
Kruse is a state runner up and takes the #1 spot. Parrish finished 3 rd twice and is looking to move up.
Templar has been injured the past two seasons and if he can stay healthy, he can be very tough.
Nadrchal, Wells, and White all state medalists also. This could be a real dandy of a weight class. These
guys look all capable of winning this weight class.
152
1. Cameron Zink, Ogallala
2. Landon Weidner, Hastings
3. Ashton Schweitzer, Broken Bow
4. Elliott Steinhoff, Platteview
5. Yoan Camejo, Blair
6. Caden Corcoran, Ralston
Zink is the returning state champ at this weight. He has started the season at 160 but I am expecting him
to drop to 152 later. Weidner will be a challenge to beat out and may give Zink all he can handle. All the
rest are returning state medalists except Camejo. Camejo sustained an injury last year otherwise I would
have expected him to medal also. Tough weight class.
160
1. Charlie Powers, Blair
2. Jett Samuelson, Hastings
3. Cole Maschmann, Beatrice
4. Michael Kruntorad, Pierce
5. Diego Maganda, Schulyer
6. Sean Stara, Elkhorn

even though they were at different weights. Things will sort out as the season progresses. Maganda
missed a state medal by one match and come in at #5 with returning qualifier Stara at #6.

1. Torrance Keehn, Beatrice
2. Isaac White, Cozad
3. Josh Colgrove, Plattsmouth
4. Zander Schweitzer, Broken Bow
5. Alex Anthony, McCook
6. Cooper Spaulding, Norris
Keehn earns the #1 spot for being the returning state runner up at the same weight class. White comes
back from an injury last year to beat state runner up Colgrove to earn the #2 spot. Schweitzer and
Anthony also make the top six based off returning medalists and Spaulding comes in looking for his first
state medal.
182
1. Brekyn Papineau, Aurora
2. Deegan Nelson, Beatrice
3. Jacob Awiszus, Gering
4. Cameronn Aughenbaugh, Plattsmouth
5. Mason Villwok, Elkhorn
6. Max Denson, Broken Bow
Papineau switched places with Owens from last years weights and helps put him in the #1 spot. Both
Nelson and Awiszus finished 3 rd last year and I gave the nod to Nelson because he was at a higher weight
last year. Aughenbaugh comes in next after earning a 6 th place medal last year. Two solid sophomores
Villwok and Denson finish out the top six.
195
1. Luke MacDonald, Bennington
2. Mack Owens, Aurora
3. Wyatt Fanning, Waverly
4. Martin Carrillo, Wayne
5. Nick Horst, Platteview
6. Josh Adkins, Plattsmouth
MacDonald and Owens met in the finals at 182 last year with MacDonald getting the win. It looks like
they are both on a collision course for the same this year. Fanning is a tough wrestler and pushed
MacDonald at times so don’t count him out. Carrillo is down from 220 to take on the lighter guys.
220
1. Mikah Ruiz, Nebraska City
2. Victor Isele, Northwest
3. Collin Schwartzkopf, Gering
4. Jack Allen, Aurora

No changes from the pre-season rankings because we have not seen a lot of class B top 10 head to head
duals yet. The Flatwater Fracas should help to sort a few of these teams out. We will also see some great
duals at the EMC dual tournament after Christmas.
