Grand Island’s depth ran away with the team title at the Norm Manstedt. Will they qualify enough to state to do the same thing in February? Not much change in the team standings. Omaha North has been the big surprise team so far this season. Will they be able to crack the top 5? Health of teams down the stretch could make big impacts in February. We are getting close.

Prado and Coppage-Dortch remain undefeated on the year. Schademann lost her first match to Prado. Hull is set to return to the mat this weekend. Alkhalil lost to Coppage-Dortch in OT at the Metros. Perdue had a huge win at the Norm Manstedt knocking off Beed of Aurora. McKibbin fell to Stoner in OT but leads the series 3-2.

Thiele suffered her first loss of the season to an Iowa girl in a 4-2 battle of unbeatens. Notaro evened up the series with Vanderpool winning the Norm Manstedt. Gates did not wrestle at the NM. Negley retained her undefeated series with a close win over Reyes at Malcolm. Hull finished 3rd at the NM.

Schultz remains unbeaten with a fall over Morales in the finals at the Norm Manstedt. Bohnet wrestled back down at 105. We will have to wait for sub-districts to see where she ends up wrestling. For now, I will leave her ranked at 110. Darling was back down to 110 and beat Guerro at Malcom but lost to Morales in the finals. McBride beat Siefken at the Gator Invite. Cleveland and Pozehl have not wrestled since Winnebago.

Reeves remains unbeaten winning the NM over Astorino. Maschmann had the big win against Peacher to remain undefeated on the year. Medina beat Robinson in the finals at Millard West and Robinson won the Metros over Astorino. Astorino had a big win in the semis at the NM over Luna. Martin has not wrestled since she was injured at Winnebago. Hopefully, she will be back in the lineup soon for Westside.

Harrill and Linnaus should get a chance to see each other at Weeping Water this weekend. Linnaus and Lemburg are tied 1-1 on the year. Medina won the Gering Invite to remain unbeaten. Phelps beat Taylor in the finals at Garden County. Osterbuhr took 3 rd over Bisbee at the Norm Manstedt.

Krivohlavek remains unbeaten and will get a chance to meet up with Pehrson at Weeping Water this weekend. Painter won the NM over Alcorta in the finals. Nagatani has dropped down to this weight and beat Alcorta in a dual. Kutschkau finished 3 rd at the NM over Drueke.

Rosseter beat Lyons at the NM and at the Metros to remain undefeated on the year. Campbell finished 3rd at the NM over Jensen. Sutton finished 5 th at the NM over Arrants. District 1 has 4 of the top 5 rated girls at this weight and three are in the same sub-district.

Pehrson beat Zamora 7-3 in a dual. Meiman won Metros over Second. Davis won the NM over Second. Hansen lost to Davis in the semis at the NM. Hoegemeyer and Wemhoff are right there.

Ritchey and Kenny remain unbeaten. Kenny’s streak of consecutive first period pins came to an end as Finecy forced a 2 nd period in a dual. Sipp has not wrestled since Conestoga. Ahrens finished 2nd at the NM behind Kenny. Hinz’s only loss is to Sipp this year. Galarza won the Metros over Sohriakoff.

Barber won the NM and Metros over Stice. Fiene remains unbeaten winning the Malcolm Invite over Lucas-Escobar. Maxey has only wrestled once since Christmas. Hopefully, she is not injured and can get back on the mat for Norfolk. Rasmussen won her tournament in WY. Kuehler finished 3rd at the NM.

Looks like Graser will be staying at 155 this season. She won the NM over Roberts. She also beat Green in a dual, but neither her nor Green wrestled this week at the Metros. That left the door open and Wiltgen beat Zatechka in OT at the Metros. Schellenberg will hopefully be back this weekend and get a chance to see Graser and Wiltgen at Weeping Water.

Vasser starts off her freshman campaign winning the Pissale Open over Sallom who won Metros this week. Jones loses her first match of the year in the finals to an Iowa wrestler. Shank had a big upset over Poppe winning the NM. Carcamo upset Vergara at the NM and they finished 3rd and 4th
respectively.

Barber evened up the series with Hinneh winning the Metros this week 8-7. Barber also beat Edwards in the finals at the NM. Earth won the Winside meet. Mendoza won Beatrice and has not lost yet at 190. Bray was third at the Metros over Stricker. Serrano beat Furgison in a dual.

Espino won the Norm Manstedt over Herron. DeCora hasn’t wrestled since Winnebago. Statz won the Beatrice meet over Ramirez. Dannelly has been out of the lineup for a while. She should get a chance to see Herron, Bryan-Aldrich, Statz, and Guererro this weekend at Weeping Water.
