NSWCA Class A Ratings-12/10/21

Class A
Top ten teams
1. Millard South
2. Omaha Westside
3. Norfolk
4. Papillion La-Vista
5. Columbus
6. North Platte
7. Lincoln East
8. Grand Island
9. Millard West
10. Lincoln Southwest
Not all teams are at full strength yet, so we are giving the benefit of the doubt in keeping the
teams the same currently.

TOP 6 INDIVIDUALS
106
1. DJ Bonam Omaha Central
2. Tyler Durden Papio
3. Braedyn Rakes Lincoln East
4. Tony Phillips
5. Isaac Ekdahl Millard South
6. Hank Kriegler Papio South
Not sure if/when Bonam will make it down, but he is eligible to be at 106 this year. If he does make it
down, he is the obvious favorite. Papio gets richer with the move in of Durden. Rakes, Phillips, Ekdahl,
and Kriegler are all solid contenders, with a few others waiting in the wings.
113
1. Jesse Lewis Norfolk
2. Logan Edwards Omaha Westside
3. Miles Anderson Millard South
4. Brenyn Delano Columbus
5. Jacob Campbell Papio
6. Javier Pedro Grand Island

Defending State Champ is the one to beat at 113. Edwards was at 120 this past weekend, but thinking he
will settle down to 113 before too long. Anderson and Delano are solid competitors who could make a
run in the later part of February.
120
1. Gabe Turman Lincoln East
2. Hunter Jacobsen Lincoln Southwest
3. Archer Heelan Kerney
4. Presden Sanchez Creighton Prep
5. Avery Russell Millard West
6. Blake Cerny Columbus
Talk about loaded! Hunter Jacobsen with the big weekend catapults himself in the number 2 spot. This is
like 106 last year, where anyone could make a run and be standing on top of the podium come
February.

126
1. Brandon Bausert Lincoln East
2. Ein Obermiller Grand Island
3. Tanner Hosick Bellevue West
4. Evan Fuchs Lincoln Southeast
5. Adrian Bice Columbus
6. Calvin Empkey Norfolk
Bausert has himself quite a resume already and looks to add more to it this year. Obermiller wins a
tough Kearney Invite. Hosick places at Donnybrook.

132
1. Keith Smith Lincoln East
2. Julio Reyes Omaha Burke
3. Kash Bates Lincoln Southwest
4. Gavin Van Driel Norfolk
5. Cal Price Papio
6. Logan Glynn Millard South
Keith Smith is the guy to beat. Julio Reyes has had quite the career. Bates, Van Driel, and Price solidify
this as a solid weight class.

138
1. Garrett Grice Bellevue East

2. Aiden Roberston Millard South
3. Cole Toline Lincoln East
4. Caleb Durr Lincoln Southeast
5. Sammy Rubino Omaha Burke
6. Perry Swarm Kearney
Do we have to say anything, but Garrett Grice. Potential 4 timer, Virgina commit, and takedown leader.
Only interesting part is if he does get to bump up to wrestle Adams of Millard South at some point this
year.
145
1. Joel Adams Millard South
2. Tyler Salpas Grand Island
3. Landan McLaughlin Lincoln Southwest
4. Noah Aken Omaha Westside
5. Cam Ralston Papio South
6. Westin Sherlock Lincoln East
Joel Adams has had quite possibly the best “off-season” of any Nebraska wrestler in history. Salpas gets
the nod at the 2 spot with the 1-0 win over McLaughlin.

152
1. Tyler Antoniak Millard South
2. Michael Myers Omaha Westside
3. Jacob Licking Norfolk
4. Luke Andres Lincoln Pius X
5. Alex Dzingle Grand Island
6. Christian Graser Creighton Pep
Myers I am guessing will be dropping to 152 and makes him an instant finalist contender. Licking and
Andres could also be in that finalist contender mix.

160
1. Nick Hamilton Papio
2. Henry Reilly Millard South
3. Grant Moraski Bellevue West
4. Ben Enders Millard North
5. Pierce Johnson Creighton Prep
6. Jackson Jeanette Millard West

Hamilton, the Virginia commit, could have the heaviest hands I have ever seen on a high school wrestler.
Reilly was on JV last year because of a stacked line-up for Millard South, but still was able to get quality
wins when Antoniak was hurt. Moraski placed 4th at Donnybrook. Enders was a match away from
medaling last year.

170
1. Antrell Taylor Millard South
2. Sam Andres Lincoln Pius X
3. Tate Kuchera Kearney
4. Cooper Jackson Lincoln Southwest
5. Alex Morris Papio
6. Cameron Cunningham Gretna
Taylor is a two sport stud going for his 3rd title before heading to UNL to wrestle for the Huskers. Don’t
really see any competition for Antrell. The next 5 could merry-go-round all season long. Interesting
weight class.
182
1. Noah Blair Millard West
2. Justin Davis Omaha Central
3. Coleton Haggin Papio
4. Caeden Olin Millard South
5. Rylee Iburg Columbus
6. James Keller Bellevue West

Not sure what happened with Austin Miller of Norfolk. The state runner-up is not listed on the Panther
line up. Makes this a very competitive weight with heavy hitters Blair and Davis. Haggin finished 1st at
Sergeant this weekend while Olin finished 3rd.
195
1. Cole Haberman Omaha Westside
2. Charlie Nosal Millard West
3. Max McClatchey Lincoln Southeast
4. Liam Blaser Columbus
5. Jayson Bottorff Papio
6. Gabe Edwards Elkhorn South
Interesting weight class. No true stand out like some others. Could be anyones ball game.

220
1. Vince Genatone North Platte
2. Tyler Stewart Omaha North
3. Christian Nash Millard South
4. Benny Alfaro Fremont
5. Kaden Johnson Papio
6. Matt Bohy Lincoln Pius X
Could see a battle of State Champs here. Not sure if Stewart will make the drop, but this could be one to
watch for. Add Christian Nash in the mix and fireworks will fly.
285
1. Tyson Terry Omaha North
2. Tyson Danner Omaha Northwest
3. Brayden Heffner Norflok
4. Chase Emsick Elkhorn South
5. Jake Lukis Grenta
6. Titus Richardson Fremont
Believe the hype. Tyson Terry is the real deal. This could be some of the most athletic heavyweights top
to bottom in some time. There are some names off this list that could be on it fairly quickly.
