In 1975, a group of wrestling coaches headed by Jim Holechek of Lincoln East, envisioned an organization of wrestling coaches dealing specifically with wrestling and not under the umbrella of the Nebraska Coaches Association. The overall objective was to be “improvement of all phases of wrestling in the state of Nebraska.”
Today the NSWCA, along with the merger of Huskerland, is responsible for the following programs, which promote the sport of wrestling in Nebraska:
Electronic Monthly Newsletter | Top Ten Team Awards |
Academic All-State Awards | Red/Blue All Star Classic |
Disney Duals | Middle School Duals |
Elementary Duals | Freshman/Sophomore Duals |
High School Wrestling Ratings | Nebraska Wrestling Hall of Fame |
