  3. Pierce (6) C4
  4. Central City (3) C2
  5. Valentine (4) C1
  6. St Paul (3) C3

  8. Scotus Central Catholic (3) C3
  9. Minden (2) C1
  10. Mitchell (2) C4

-Contenders: O’Neill, David City, Broken Bow

The clear-cut favorite at this point is Battle Creek, which appears to be the deepest team in the field. They currently have seven wrestlers ranked in the top six. Cedar Catholic and Pierce are shaping up to be an intriguing battle for the runner-up spot. Pierce has more overall depth, while Cedar Catholic brings significant top-end talent and could realistically place four wrestlers in the finals in February.

The remainder of the top 10 is wide open and could see considerable shuffling, depending on how certain weight classes play out and how many wrestlers each team qualifies through Omaha. If healthy, Doniphan-Trumbull is a quietly solid and dangerous team that could surprise a lot of people at the State Tournament.

Class C Boys Dual Team Rankings

  1. Battle Creek
  2. Pierce
  3. Central City
  4. Doniphan-Trumbull
  5. St Paul
  6. Logan View
  7. Kearney Catholic
  8. David City

      -Contenders: Pender, Gibbon

Currently, these are the top eight teams in wild card points. Battle Creek appears to be the early favorite due to their depth, with Pierce close behind in second. A huge dual is set for Thursday, January 22, between Pierce and Battle Creek, and that matchup could be very telling in how the State Duals in Kearney ultimately unfold.

Positions three through eight appear to be wide open, with several high-quality teams in the mix. Injuries, along with the strategic shuffling of wrestlers at certain weight classes, will likely play a major role in determining which teams are able to place at the State Duals.

Class C Boys Individual Rankings

Side note: We ranked six wrestlers per weight class and included two wild cards. Several weight classes are extremely deep, and there are a number of quality wrestlers who did not make the initial rankings but are certainly capable of impacting the postseason.
